A seat at the table.

A mini course on writing about the food we eat, grow, cook, share, and celebrate.
Are you interested in writing stories about your life, but keep putting it off? Not sure where to start or what to write about?

You know you've got stories to tell. Good stories. We all do. Stories that, like comfort food, we come back to again and again.

Or maybe you're not sure your stories are good enough. They are.

The key is finding the stories that hold meaning for you and hold some universal truth that others can relate to. Stories about events that made you laugh, taught you something, or created a special moment between you and someone else.

That dinner disaster? You can bet there's someone else who knows just how you feel.

Those ripe tomatoes you started from seed? Oh, they tasted so good because you got your hands dirty and planted them. Tell us why you started gardening. Or tell us about the garden your neighbor or grandfather planted that made your eyes grow as big as the melons growing on the vine.

Tell us whey you make __________  every holiday? Is it because your mom made it? Is it because someone else who sits at the table likes it ... even if you don't.

Storytelling is a tradition in every culture ... all around the world. And for good reason. When we share our stories, we create common ground, entertain, and comfort one another.

And people love stories.

Write them for yourself and those you love.

You're a writer, but you keep putting your writing off.
You want to write, but you wonder what story to start with ... and think some feedback or guidance would be helpful.

And it would.

So grab a seat at the table and join this introductory (BETA) workshop.
Don't just think about writing your stories, write them.

This is a new course idea and I'm field testing it by offering this beta version for just $25. In exchange, I ask that you complete the three weeks, submit your finished story to be included in a finished booklet, and offer feedback as we go.

We'll begin March 19 and meet once a week for one hour, for three weeks ... on Saturdays at 10:00 AM, EST.

Yes, I want a seat at the table!

Our goal.
The goal of the workshop is for you to start and finish one short story.

Your story will be part of a collection.
At the end of the workshop, I'll work work with you on one round of editing to be sure your story is the best is can be. Once the workshop has ended, you will be asked to submit you story to be published(!) in a professionally designed booklet you can share with friends and family.

Don't just think about your stories, write them.
